For Louise Ashcroft's residency project What If School..? (2025) in partnership with St. Peter's School Huntingdon, they worked with Year 7 & 8 pupils to invent ideas for changes to the school and its rules. The resulting drawings were made into a video which was screened with a live score at Wysing as part of a pupil-led 'question time' style consultation with teachers, with an accompanying What If School..? manifesto screen-printing workshop led by Dylan Fox. The project resulted in several real changes to the school being agreed, and a debate about whether students could wear non-uniform socks led to Louise making fifty watercolour paintings of rebellious socks to sell in the Wysing shop to raise money for the school's chosen charity The Trussell Trust.
Over the last four years, Wysing's partnership with St Peter’s School, Huntingdon, has brought an artist into the school to collaborate with the students and art department staff for a whole academic year. The project works with year 7 & 8 students (ages 11-13) as part of their Learn Aspire Exceed curriculum (LAE) where students get to discover subjects and skills beyond the core curriculum that are not prescribed or assessed.
